Burnley became the first smokeless zone in\n            the country in the late 1960&rsquo;s, making solid fuel unfashionable\n            &ndash; and this is where Whitfords Caravan Centre began.\n          <\/p>\n          <p>\n            The late Mr &amp; Mrs Whitford, who were keen caravanners, saw a gap\n            in the market for self-tow hire of caravans.
